The Vermouth Yriarte originates in a recipe from the late 19th century, prepared by Doña Dolores de Góngora e Yriarte, who decided to make a vermouth with good-quality white wine with a high concentration of alcohol but no added alcohol, resulting in an exquisite vermouth when mixed with the best botanical plants such as gentian, angelica or coriander. Doña Dolores de Góngora e Yriarte was the only member of the 5th generation of the Góngora family to continue the wine cellar tradition, since she had no brothers and was widowed young. She thus decided to devote her life to the wine cellar, leaving a considerable legacy of written work, wines and brandies, one example of which is this exquisite vermouth recipe.
